Quick verdict: 4.5/5 ★★★★½

The Premium Package is Wall Street Prep’s flagship self-study program: the same financial and valuation modeling curriculum WSP sells to investment banks for training their own analysts, packaged for individuals. Seven courses take you from a blank spreadsheet to a full LBO model, with a recognized certification at the end. At $499 ($424 with code EQUITEER), it is the right buy if you want the complete modeling toolkit in one place.

  • Best for: breaking into IB or PE without a banking background, or arriving desk-ready as an incoming analyst
  • Time to complete: 46 hours of video across 7 courses (budget 70-90 hours with exercises)
  • Access: lifetime, self-paced
  • Certification: Financial & Valuation Modeling Certification (final exam per course)

What Is the Wall Street Prep Premium Package?

The Premium Package is WSP’s complete financial and valuation modeling program, and the product that made the company’s name. WSP says 106,295 students have enrolled. The pitch is simple: this is the exact training program that leading investment banks and financial institutions use to train their new hires, sold to you directly as a self-study package.

That is not just marketing copy. WSP’s corporate client list includes Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Citi, Barclays, Lazard and Evercore, and the company says more than 300 corporate clients and 150 universities train with its material. When you work through the Premium Package, you are doing the same exercises their analysts do in week one.

This review covers the Premium Package specifically: what is inside all seven courses, what it costs today, and who should buy it. For the bigger picture on WSP, including the Private Equity Masterclass, read my main Wall Street Prep review.

Wall Street Prep Premium Package Pricing (2026)

Price checked on September 9, 2026, directly on wallstreetprep.com:

PackagePriceWhat you get
Premium Package$4997 courses, certification exams, 25+ mini-courses, lifetime access
Premium Package with code EQUITEER~$424Same package, 15% off at checkout

It is a one-time payment with lifetime access, not a subscription. Enrollment also includes an optional 30-minute live “meet your instructor” kickoff session over Zoom, which is a nice touch for a self-study product. If you want ongoing one-on-one help after that, WSP offers live video-chat tutoring with investment bankers at $800/hour. Most self-study students will not need it.

What’s Inside: Course by Course

The Premium Package bundles WSP’s six core modeling courses plus a bonus module, 46 hours of video in total. Here is the full breakdown from the live course pages:

CourseLessonsLength
Financial Statement Modeling8210h 29m
DCF Modeling666h 12m
M&A Modeling385h 54m
Trading Comps Modeling916h 50m
Transaction Comps Modeling525h 12m
LBO Modeling889h 46m
Bonus: Building Buyers Lists with PitchBook211h 36m

A few observations from going through the material:

Financial Statement Modeling is the foundation, and it is excellent. You build a complete three-statement model from scratch, learning how to select and develop projection drivers rather than memorizing formulas. If you have never linked the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow properly, this course alone justifies a big chunk of the price.

The case work uses real companies. The DCF course walks through Apple step by step, and the M&A course uses Apple and Disney as its case studies, including real pitchbooks and fairness opinions. That is the kind of rep that transfers directly to a live deal or a modeling test.

The LBO course earns its place for PE recruiting. Nine-plus hours covering everything from debt schedules to exit returns and sensitivity analysis. It is a generalist banking LBO rather than a PE-process deep dive, but it will get you through a standard modeling test comfortably.

The extras are quietly valuable. The PitchBook bonus module teaches you to build buyers lists, a real associate task nobody else bothers to cover. And the 25+ included mini-courses (Excel, accounting, PowerPoint, industry-specific topics) are genuinely useful for filling gaps, each one to two hours long.

The Certification

Each course ends with an online final exam. Pass all of them and you earn WSP’s Financial & Valuation Modeling Certification, which is a recognized signal to recruiters and HR teams, particularly useful if your CV needs proof of technical skills from a non-traditional background. The exams cover exactly what was taught, and WSP allows a retake if you fail the first attempt, so the stakes are low if you actually did the exercises.

Wall Street Prep Premium Package Pros and Cons

What I like:

  • The real bank curriculum. The same program used to train new hires at Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Citi, Barclays, Lazard and Evercore. You are buying the source material, not an imitation.
  • Learn by doing. Every concept is followed by an Excel exercise, and the cases (Apple DCF, Apple/Disney M&A) use real companies and real deal documents.
  • Recognized certification. The Financial & Valuation Modeling Certification is a known signal to recruiters.
  • Complete coverage. Statements, DCF, both flavors of comps, M&A and LBO in one package, plus the PitchBook bonus and 25+ mini-courses.
  • Self-paced with lifetime access. Skip what you know, revisit what you do not, work around a day job.

What I don’t:

  • Self-study only. No live instructor and nobody grades your model. One-on-one tutoring exists but costs $800/hour.
  • Not cheap. $499 is real money next to free YouTube content, even if the structure saves you weeks of wandering.
  • Dry delivery. The videos are professional but corporate. Nobody is entertained.
  • Generalist, not PE-specific. This is banking modeling. The PE deal process, LMM case work and IC-facing deliverables sit in WSP’s separate Private Equity Masterclass.

Who the Premium Package Is For (and Who Should Skip It)

Buy it if you:

  • are recruiting for IB or PE without a banking background and need structured reps, fast
  • are an incoming analyst or associate who wants to arrive desk-ready
  • want a recognized certificate to back up a non-traditional CV

Skip it if you:

  • already have two-plus years of IB or PE experience. You likely know most of this material
  • only need financial statement modeling on a tight budget. WSP’s Basic Package covers that single course for $199
  • are set on private equity specifically and already model well. Go straight to WSP’s Private Equity Masterclass, which I cover in my main WSP review

Conclusion

The Premium Package is not the cheapest way to learn financial modeling, and it is not trying to be. It is the most direct one: the same curriculum the banks use, taught the way the work is actually done, with a certificate that recruiters recognize at the end.

If you are starting from zero or from a non-traditional background, this is the shortest path to being genuinely useful on a deal team. Do the exercises properly, pass the exams, put the certification on your resume, and use code EQUITEER at checkout to take 15% off. Six months from now, when you are building models instead of watching someone else build them, it will look like a bargain.

Wall Street Prep Premium Package FAQ

What does the Wall Street Prep Premium Package include?

Seven courses totaling 46 hours of video: Financial Statement Modeling, DCF Modeling, M&A Modeling, Trading Comps, Transaction Comps, LBO Modeling and a bonus PitchBook module on building buyers lists. Enrollment also includes 25+ mini-courses, an optional live kickoff session with the instructor, final exams per course and the Financial & Valuation Modeling Certification. Access is lifetime.

Is the Wall Street Prep Premium Package worth it?

For career switchers, students and incoming analysts, yes. The structure, real-company case work and certification justify the $499 many times over in saved time and avoided rookie mistakes, and code EQUITEER takes 15% off. For experienced bankers who already build models daily, no: you would be paying to relearn what you do at work.

Does Goldman Sachs use Wall Street Prep?

Yes. Goldman Sachs appears on Wall Street Prep’s corporate client list alongside JPMorgan, Citi, Barclays, Lazard and Evercore, and WSP says more than 300 corporate clients and 150 universities train with its material. The Premium Package is the same curriculum used in those corporate programs.

Are Wall Street Prep exams hard?

Fair, not brutal. Each course ends with an online final exam that covers exactly what was taught, so if you actually did the exercises you should pass. WSP allows a retake if you fail the first attempt, which keeps the stakes low.

How long does the WSP Premium Package take to complete?

The seven courses hold 46 hours of video. Working through every exercise properly, budget 70 to 90 hours, roughly three months at an hour a day. Everything is self-paced with lifetime access, so there is no deadline pressure.

What is the difference between the Basic and Premium Package?

The Basic Package ($199) is WSP’s Financial Statement Modeling course plus modeling best practices: the foundation only. The Premium Package ($499) adds the full valuation toolkit on top: DCF, trading and transaction comps, M&A and LBO modeling, plus the certification exams, PitchBook bonus and 25+ mini-courses. If you are recruiting for IB or PE, the Premium Package is the right tier; the Basic Package only makes sense for tight budgets or accounting-focused goals.
